Gets the requested type.

Parameters

typeName: String

The name of the type to retrieve.

Returns

Type

The requested type, or null if the type cannot be resolved.

Remarks

The GetType method will search the service provider for an ITypeResolutionService and, if available, it will delegate to that service to resolve the type. If an ITypeResolutionService is not available, GetType will call the Object.GetType method.
