Returns the typed object requested, if present, from the appropriate layer in the channel stack.
public:
generic <typename T>
where T : class override T GetProperty(System::ServiceModel::Channels::BindingContext ^ context);
public override T GetProperty<T> (System.ServiceModel.Channels.BindingContext context) where T : class;
override this.GetProperty : System.ServiceModel.Channels.BindingContext -> 'T (requires 'T : null)
Public Overrides Function GetProperty(Of T As Class) (context As BindingContext) As T
Type Parameters
- T
The typed object for which the method is querying.
Parameters
- context
- BindingContext
The BindingContext for the current binding element.
Returns
The typed object T
requested if it is present or null
if it is not.
Exceptions
context
is null
.
Examples
The following code illustrates how to implement the GetProperty<T>(BindingContext) method:
public override T GetProperty<T>(BindingContext context)
{
if (typeof(T) == typeof(XmlDictionaryReaderQuotas))
{
return (T)(object)this.readerQuotas;
}
else
{
return base.GetProperty<T>(context);
}
}
Remarks
Use this to request a typed object such as an interface for retrieving properties or getting status from the appropriate layer in the channel stack. If a layer supports returning the requested object, it returns it. If not, it delegates the call down to the next layer in the stack. If it gets to the bottom of the stack and no channel layer supported the requested object, then the method returns null
.
