DataGridView.RowUnshared Event

Definition

Occurs when a row's state changes from shared to unshared.

public:
 event System::Windows::Forms::DataGridViewRowEventHandler ^ RowUnshared;
public event System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewRowEventHandler RowUnshared;
public event System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewRowEventHandler? RowUnshared;
member this.RowUnshared : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewRowEventHandler
Public Custom Event RowUnshared As DataGridViewRowEventHandler

Event Type

Examples

The following code example demonstrates the use of this member. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the RowUnshared event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing MessageBox.Show with Console.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of type DataGridView named DataGridView1. Then ensure that the event handler is associated with the RowUnshared event.

private void DataGridView1_RowUnshared(Object sender, DataGridViewRowEventArgs e) {

System.Text.StringBuilder messageBoxCS = new System.Text.StringBuilder();
messageBoxCS.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "Row", e.Row );
messageBoxCS.AppendLine();
MessageBox.Show(messageBoxCS.ToString(), "RowUnshared Event" );
}
Private Sub DataGridView1_RowUnshared(sender as Object, e as DataGridViewRowEventArgs) _
     Handles DataGridView1.RowUnshared

    Dim messageBoxVB as New System.Text.StringBuilder()
    messageBoxVB.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "Row", e.Row)
    messageBoxVB.AppendLine()
    MessageBox.Show(messageBoxVB.ToString(),"RowUnshared Event")

End Sub

Remarks

You can use this event during development and testing to help identify code that causes rows to change from a shared to an unshared state. This is useful when scaling the control to display large amounts of data.
