Members of the Microsoft SQL Server fixed database role db_backupoperator have permission to back up and restore the database and its log. For more information about adding members to a database role, see AddMember Method.

If TRUE, the user mapping the login authenticating the client application connection is a member of the db_backupoperator role.

If FALSE, the user mapping the login authenticating the client application connection is not a member of the role.
