Putting the $ in the goo$le

I have no real reason to link to this other than I enjoy that goo$le is starting to get some of that M$ treatment from the community. I just love the icon they used and thought it must have come from the google finance site (that is really cool).

Although the article is mostly positive you can start to see people, even on slashdot, realizing that "do no evil" really means "try and be less evil, but make mad money". I also selected the quote that summed up the rest of the article.

There's a lot of fantasy in there

    There are differences.

If you buy a PC, you don't have to pay for an unwanted copy of Google at the same time.  If you've paid for a subscription to Google Developer Network then you can use a copy of Google software that you already have instead of paying for an additional unwanted copy.  Even if you want to use Yahoo instead, you don't have to pay for a copy of Google.

When Google doesn't work for you, you can get a refund of what you paid for it.

If an old version of Google no longer has even a pretense of support, so you have to upgrade to a new version, you have to pay zero yen for the upgrade.
