The Existing Client Desktop MCITP VS the New Windows 8 Client MCSA Certification

There are 2 major platforms in typical organizations - The Client/Dekstop platform and the Server platform. Existing Client/Desktop platform is undoubtedly the widely used Windows 7. While a new shift of Client paradigm takes place via the introduction of the new Windows 8 which can run on both traditional desktop PCs as well as tablets and smart phones. This has certainly upgraded the landscape of Client/Desktop deployment of many organizations ranging from SMB (Small Medium  Business) to large businesses around the world.

With this regard, knowledge Information Workers that work on Client/Desktop platform can opt from 3 major versions of Client/Desktop certifications - The MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator on Windows 7 https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/mcitp-certification.aspx certification, the MCSA: Windows 7 certification https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/mcsa-windows-7-certification.aspx and the MCSA: Windows 8 https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/mcsa-windows-8-certification.aspx certification.

The note that the MCSA: Windows 7 certification requires the passing of 2 exams - Exam 70-680 and Exam 70-685 which will also earn you an additional Windows 7 certifications, namely the MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician on Windows 7 https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/mcitp-certification.aspx, where both exams combined (Exam 70-680 and Exam 70-685) actually fulfills 2 certification tracks requirements.

    With Win8 being an epic fail there is no need for this certification.
