I came upon some comments here: http://www.1060.org/blogxter/entry?publicid=F91A69F0903E819638F9B39C4DAB12C5

doesn't seem very charitable but makes some good points though.

Thanks Dilip for pointing me to the comment. Couldnt agree more - Steve has some valid points there. But just to clarify

    1.  Though it may sound like that - but definitely none of Team Build talks or presentations have 'discouraged' test integration. I am completely with himon this - running tests is a must for a disciplined build system - CI or no CI. If you have noticed and played with Team Build - it is because of this that we declare a build 'Failed' even if one of tests fail - without giving a choice to the users.
All that this point mentions is that while configuring a build type - you can 'choose' not to run tests - there can be some scenarios where a customer would want this flexibility.
    2) On the second point - the sub heading of the point mentions "'Others' find some disadvantages..." - just to clarify again this was clearly some points that 'other people' raise when they speak pros and cons of CI - not our views.

But nevertheless - thumbs up to both the points. As Steve mentions 'process' wise I absolutely agree with him. :)

I tried the CI example from the aricle in TFS RC1, but it seems like the article has some errors compared to the real world. For instance, the bissubscribe.exe has no parameter for userId in RC1. Maybe the article was compatible with beta3 and not RC1 ?

anyway, trying the CI example gives an error in the EventLog:
Detailed Message: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: http://schemas.microsoft.com/TeamFoundation/2005/06/Services/Notification/03/Notify.

    Any suggestions?

    Hey

Yes you have observed it right - there needs to be done some changes to the sample because of some breaking changes post beta3.

We have already upgraded the sample and currently are in the process of uploading it on MSDN - just hang in there for a day or two and you should have the updated sample.

    Hope that is ok

    Thanks
