The Project Glidepath Website and Blog launches today

Second update: If you are going to install on Windows Vista you must:

1. Run the MSI installers from a CMD box which has been launched via "Run as Administrator". You do this by finding the CMD box icon, right click and select Run as Administrator.
2. You must install SQL Server Express SP1 which is required as SQL Server Express RTM does not run on Windows Vista

For the past 9 months I've been working on a finding a way to make it easier for MicroISVs to develop applications for Windows Vista and .Net 3.0 compatible downlevel OSes.

Today I'm launching a beta test of this work called Project Glidepath.

Project Glidepath is both a website and blog and delivers a Visual Studio 2005 add-in called the Project Glidepath Software Factory.  Using the Project Glidepath Software Factory you download "packages" of workflow-based guidance, code, content and templates that help you with many aspects of building Windows Vista applications as a MicroISV.

Please visit the site, read the blog, try the Software Factory and let me know what you think.  Your feedback, bug reports and suggestions are encouraged.

You may also be interested in creating your own Project Glidepath content.  If so, click on the EMAIL link and send me your contact information and I'll get you the codes and tools you need to get started.  Note: You do not need to be a developer to create a Project Glidepath package as we have a stand-along Glidepath Content Authoring Tool that you can use.
