Poznámky
Definice obecného typu je šablona, ze které lze vytvořit další typy. Například z definice G<T>
obecného typu (vyjádřené v syntaxi jazyka C#; G(Of T)
v jazyce Visual Basic nebo generic <typename T> ref class G
V++) můžete vytvořit a vytvořit instanci typu G<int>

v jazyce Visual Basic) voláním MakeGenericType metody se seznamem obecných argumentů obsahujícím Int32 typ. Vzhledem k objektu Type , který představuje tento vytvořený typ, GetGenericTypeDefinition metoda znovu získá definici obecného typu.
