Následující příklad ukazuje, jak najít ovládací prvek textového pole pro zadaný název sloupce. Například šablony stránky Dynamická data se zkopírují do složky \DynamicData\CustomPages\ProductDescriptions, která poskytuje vlastní zobrazení tabulky ProductDescription databáze AdventureWorksLT. Kód souboru Insert.aspx se změní tak, aby přidal obslužnou rutinu OnDataBound události s názvem DetailsView1_DataBound, ve které FindDataSourceControl je volána metoda pro vyhledání ovládacího prvku textového pole.
