Počínaje rozhraním .NET Framework 2.0 doporučujeme vytvářet XmlReader instance pomocí XmlReader.Create metody, abyste mohli využívat nové funkce.

Tato vlastnost umožňuje určit rozdíl mezi následujícími vlastnostmi:

<item num="123"/> (IsEmptyElement je true).

<item num="123"> (IsEmptyElement je false, i když je obsah prvku prázdný).

Odpovídající EndElement uzel není generován pro prázdné prvky.

IsEmptyElement jednoduše hlásí, zda prvek ve zdrojovém dokumentu měl značku koncového prvku.
