FA Posting Type Field, FA Ledger Entry Table

Shows the posting type for the fixed asset that was used when the entry was posted.

The program automatically retrieved the posting type as follows:

  • If the entry was posted from a journal line, the posting type is usually copied from the FA Posting Type field on the relevant journal line.

  • If the entry was posted from a journal line for the disposal of a fixed asset, the posting type will indicate the type of the disposal entry, for example, Gain/Loss or Salvage Value.

  • If the entry was posted from a purchase order, invoice, or credit memo, the posting type is copied from the FA Posting Type field on the purchase line.
