AVG (Report Builder)

Returns the average (arithmetic mean) of all non-null values within a set.

Syntax

AVERAGE(aggregate)

aggregate

Specifies the field name or expression to aggregate.

Remarks

• AVERAGE can be used with fields that contain numeric values only.
• Null values are ignored.

Example

Formula	Result
AVG(Freight)	The average cost of freight for a set of shipments.
