The analyst is traditionally the domain expert in business intelligence (BI): someone who understands the data and is able to translate the results of data mining into actionable business information. In some cases, the analyst may be a data mining specialist employed by the business to create a solution and then interpret the results of data mining for the end users.
The analyst often has one of the following job titles: Business Analyst (Report Consumer), Manager (Report Consumer), Technical Trainer, Help Desk/Operation, or Network Administrator.
To help the data mining analyst be as effective as possible, this InfoCenter provides links to topics concerning the creation, control, and management of BI applications that use SQL Server Analysis Services.
