Note
This feature will be removed in the next version of Microsoft SQL Server. Do not use this feature in new development work, and modify applications that currently use this feature as soon as possible.
An object of ClassType clsDataSource implements the following methods.

Description |

Copies the properties and collections of a data source object to another data source object. |

Connects to a data source. The method returns True if the data source is connected, and False if it is not connected and is unable to connect. |

Locks a data source object. |

Unlocks a previously locked data source object. |
|
Updates the data source object definition in the metadata repository. |
