XmlSerializationWriter.WriteNullableStringLiteralRaw Method (String, String, String)

Microsoft Silverlight will reach end of support after October 2021. Learn more.

This API supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Writes an XML element that contains a string as the body. XmlWriter inserts a xsi:nil='true' attribute if the string's value is nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Namespace:  System.Xml.Serialization
Assembly:  System.Xml.Serialization (in System.Xml.Serialization.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Protected Sub WriteNullableStringLiteralRaw ( _
    name As String, _
    ns As String, _
    value As String _
)
protected void WriteNullableStringLiteralRaw(
    string name,
    string ns,
    string value
)

Parameters

  • name
    Type: System.String
    The local name of the XML element to write.
  • ns
    Type: System.String
    The namespace of the XML element to write.
  • value
    Type: System.String
    The string to write in the body of the XML element.

Remarks

The protected members of XmlSerializationWriter are intended for use only by derived classes that are used internally within the .NET Framework XML serialization infrastructure.

When set to true, the nil attribute from the XML Schema instance namespace (abbreviated xsi) indicates a null value.

The WriteNullableStringLiteralRaw method is called only when writing literal XML that can be defined in an XML Schema document.
