Topic Description
Advanced Object Selection (AccessToSQL) Use the Advanced Object Select dialog box to find database objects by using filter criteria, and then select or clear those objects.
Assessment Report (AccessToSQL) Use the Assessment Report dialog box to analyze the conversion of Access database objects and to estimate how long the migration will take.
Connect To SQL Server Use the Connect to SQL Server dialog box to connect to the instance of SQL Server to which you want to migrate.
Connect To SQL Azure Use the Connect to SQL Azure dialog box to connect to the instance of SQL Azure to which you want to migrate.
Convert, Load, and Migrate The Convert, Load, and Migrate dialog is part of the Migration Wizard and also appears when you use the Convert, Load, and Migrate command.
Data Migration Report (AccessToSQL) Appears after data migration and reports migration successes and failures for each table.
Edit Type Mapping (AccessToSQL) Use the Edit Type Mapping dialog box to create or edit the mapping of data types between the source and target databases and database objects.
Find Databases Wizard (Select Files) Use the Select Files page of the Find Databases Wizard to select which Access databases to add to the SSMA project.
Find Databases Wizard (Select Locations) Use the Select Locations page of the Find Databases Wizard to specify locations to search for Access databases files on a network, on a computer, or in a folder that match search criteria.
Find Databases Wizard (Verify Selection) Use the Verify Selection page of the Find Databases Wizard to confirm which databases will be added to the SSMA project.
Global Settings (Editor) (AccessToSQL) Use the Editor page of the Global Settings dialog box to configure code editor options.
Global Settings (Dialogs) (AccessToSQL) Use the Editor page of the Global Settings dialog box to configure default dialog and warning settings.
Global Settings (Logging) (AccessToSQL) Use the Logging page of the Global Settings dialog box to configure logging.
Global Settings (Output Window) (AccessToSQL) Use the Output Window page of the Global Settings dialog box to configure the display of the Output pane and Error Window pane.
Migration Wizard Use the Migration Wizard to guide you through the migration process.
New Project (SSMA) Use the New Project dialog box to create a new SSMA project.
Project Settings (Conversion) Use the Conversion page of the Project Settings dialog box to specify how SSMA converts indexed memo columns, primary keys, foreign key constraints, timestamps, and tables without indexes.
Project Settings (GUI) (AccessToSQL) Use the GUI page of the Project Settings dialog box to specify how much data appears on the Data tab.
Project Settings (Migration) Use the Migration page of the Project Settings dialog box to specify the migration batch size, table locking, constraint checking, insertion trigger firing, identity and null value handling, and how to handle dates that are out of the SQL Server range.
Project Settings (Type Mapping) Use the Type Mapping page of the Project Settings dialog box to specify the default type mappings for all databases and database objects in the SSMA project.
Project Settings (SQL Azure) Use the SQL Azure page of the Project Settings dialog box to specify the database suffix and also the heartbeat timeout interval.
Save Metadata (AccessToSQL) The Save Metadata dialog box appears when you save a project that is missing metadata.
