Dataverse administrators need to perform various administrative tasks regularly. These tasks can range from controlling which users have access to specific data, enabling and disabling features, managing auditing, and more. The Power Platform Admin Center provides administrators with a central location to be able to manage these items.

In this module, we examined how to get started with the Power Platform Admin Center to help administer your Dataverse environments.

Additionally, you learned about the following:

  • Reporting: The different analytic options that are available to help identify things such as what apps are being used, what tables are used, and what is going on in each environment. The dashboards are user-friendly and provide a quick overview of activity.

  • Capacity monitoring: The capacity section of the Power Platform Admin Center provides administrators with the ability to monitor and manage capacity across their entire tenant, and at an environment level.

  • Managing environment settings: This offers a quick way to add users and set permissions, as well as to turn on and off different features in the environment.

  • Configuring auditing: How to enable and configure the different auditing capabilities available in Microsoft Dataverse, including how to enable auditing at a table level and more.

From here, you might want to examine some more advanced administration and monitoring options, such as getting started with the Center of Excellence or working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
