Since Chinese version is not available.I installed the English version and  found  a bug in Outlook Beta2.
In the To-Do Bar appointment menu, it can't display Sunday Monday ....Saturday correctly. A Chinese character "星" displays instead.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear..So I uploaded the picture in my blog.

    Hope you can fix it.Thanks

No way to activate it through the internet. And the phone option is not enabled. Still some 30 runs before I will have to uninstall it... :(

I am trying to activate it too.   So far i have done it about 5 times and each time it says the "Activation Wizard is unable to find a connection to the internet.".  Of course i am connected.  So what gives?

Cutedbm - thanks for finding that bug! That's what Beta is all about (well, that and getting the word out...)

Beta2 issues: I have been told that there is a blog going up soon just to discuss installation issues. They have added several more servers to deal with the capacity. Please keep trying!

I will let you know of more details as I find out about them.

    Melissa,

In beta 1, the To-Do bar displayed flagged items from all folders in all .pst files.

After installing Beta 2, it's only displaying flagged items from a couple of my .pst files and ignoring a number of others. I often flag something in my inbox and immediately move it to an archive .pst.

Am I missing some configurable setting somewhere? Maybe a registry setting I can play with to reset it? Though I uninstalled B1TR first, all of my settings were preserved, which was nice!!

    Thanks

    Ooohhhh, that's Embarrassing.
I was hoping it was something less obvious than that :-)

    Thanks so much Melissa.

Now if you could just do something about the intermittent 5 second pause I experience while composing emails :-)

    Melissa,

Could you pass this on to the Office/Outlook 2007 team, and make sure they are aware.

I installed Beta 2 of Office 2007, with everything apart from Outlook 2007 (as I wanted to leave Outlook 2003 on my machine).

Then today I finally decided also to try Outlook 12, so went back into setup and add/remove; however it would not let me install Outlook 12 as it was disabled from the options.

I have had to uninstall all of Office 2007 Plus; and then re-install from scratch just to get Outlook 2007 on the machine.

    Not critical, but frustrating.

    David-
Sure thing. I am sorry to hear that your install process was so painful.

    Melissa,

I experienced the same thing as David Taylor, except I haven't un/re-installed yet.

Shucks, I came here hoping to find a better solution than full reinstall.  Oh well.  Such is the way of betas..

Here is what I have been told: "Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 cannot co-exist on the machine at the same time.  For clean install scenarios, if you elect to install Outlook 2007, we will automatically remove Outlook 2003 for you.  However, during Maintenance Mode, this prior version removal code does not run, so we will not allow you to install Outlook 2007 until Outlook 2003 is removed."

Before you install the Beta, uninstall Outlook 2003.

    Hope this helps!

Beta 2 does not allow SSL Connection

I am a member of Bell Sympatico, Provider of MSN Canada.

In order to get and send email, we at sympatico had to use SSL port

Since I have install Outlook 2007
    I get the error : 0x800CCC1A
Basicly saying that SSL port was not working
I check with my provider for the settings.
Everything is ok on my side. The only thing that my provedor told me was to revert back to my old outlook XP (Which was working fine with SSL).

Could you please pass this information to DEV TEAM - Outlook

In Outlook XP I was using Outlook Connector
to Synch my MSN Account. The new version of outlook disable that feature.

I have also found the SSL Connection not allowing me to send mail on my Symaptico Account. I have since just changed my encryption type to Auto, and I can send and recieve my emails without any further problems.
