Forecast scheduling (class form)

Click Master planning > Periodic > Forecast scheduling.
Use this form to calculate forecast requirements. You can also use the form to generate planned orders for all items, or for items that you select in the Forecast plan field.
You can consider running the update outside of regular operating hours.

Scheduling helpers |
Enter parameters to set up scheduling helpers. Scheduling helpers perform parallel processing in forecast scheduling. |
Comment |
Enter brief, descriptive text of the scheduling run. The text that you enter is also displayed on the General tab of the Session log form. Optionally, enter a comment. |

Use the query to select specific items if you do not want to calculate all items. Derived component items are calculated automatically. |

Forecast plan |
Select the forecast plan that you want to use in the calculation. |
Track process task duration |
Select this check box to record the processing time for each forecast scheduling task. You can use the records to analyze the efficiency of the planning process and adjust the scheduling helper parameters. Note Using this parameter affects forecast scheduling performance. You should limit using this option to fine-tuning the planning process. |
Item number |
Displays the range of item numbers that forecast scheduling is affecting. |
Number of helpers |
Enter the maximum number of scheduling helpers that you want to use. The actual number of helpers that is used depends on the number of available batch threads among the batch servers. |
Comment |
Enter a description of the current forecast scheduling run. |
