Invoice control (form)

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > Project contracts. On the Action Pane, on the Control tab, in the Monitor group, click Invoice control.

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects. On the Action Pane, on the Control tab, in the Monitor group, click Invoice control.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or cumulative update 7 or later for AX 2012 R2: Click Project management and accounting > Common > Project resources > Resources. On the Action Pane, on the Project resource tab, in the Project control group, click Invoice control.

Use this form to calculate and display posted transactions. A posted transaction provides an overview of the amounts that have been invoiced, the amounts that remain to be invoiced, and the amounts that are to be invoiced that exceed the quotation amount.
The Project contract details form displays transactions from the selected invoice project, and from Time and material projects and Fixed-price projects. The Projects form displays transactions from the selected project.

View a comparison of the amount of the quotation and the amount that has been invoiced for each transaction type that is associated with each transaction line. |

Calculate |
Calculate the selected transactions for the selected invoice project, project, employee, or category according to the parameters that you set. Example Open the form from a project, select Hour, and then click Calculate. The view is updated to include hourly transactions from the selected project. |
Transactions |
View all transactions of the selected type for the current invoice project, project, employee, or category. Example Project 9007 has one hour journal with three hourly lines and another hour journal with two hourly lines. When you open the form from project 9007, click Transactions, and then click Hour, five transaction lines are shown. |
Adjustment |
Adjust transactions for the selected project or all the projects that are attached to the invoice project from which you opened the Invoice control form. |

Open a menu that contains the following items:

Export to Microsoft Excel |
Export the calculated data to a Microsoft Excel PivotTable report. |

Define the starting date and the ending date for the period in which the transactions must be posted. |
Select currency |
Select the currency of the transactions to display. Different transactions on the same project might use different currencies. |

The transaction type. |

The invoiced amount. |
Chargeable |
The chargeable amount. |
Total invoicing |
The total amount for invoicing. |
Nonchargeable |
The nonchargeable amount. |
All |
The total amount of all the transactions of a certain transaction type. |
Number of transactions found |
The total number of transactions of a certain transaction type. |
Quotation |
The total amount of the quotations in the selected currency. |
Remaining amount to invoice |
The remaining amount to be invoiced in the selected currency. |
Remaining quotation amount |
The remaining amount of the quotations in the selected currency, minus invoiced and chargeable amounts. |
