Retail shared parameters (form)

Click Retail > Setup > Parameters > Retail shared parameters.

Use this form to specify retail parameters that are shared by all stores.

Group	Create or update number-sequence groups.

Fields

Field	Description
Local store number	Select the store number that is used when day-end journals or statement journals are created.
Local store name	The name of the selected local store.
Exchange rate type	Select the type of exchange rate that is used for Retail.
Earn offline	Select this check box to track all loyalty earning transactions offline. To post the loyalty transactions, run the Process offline loyalty transactions job. (Click Retail > Periodic > Loyalty > Process offline loyalty transactions.) Important Before you run the Process offline loyalty transactions job, run the P-0001 job to pull the retail store transactions into Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Allow register association from device	Select this check box to allow a device, such as a tablet or smartphone, to be associated with a store’s register from the device. This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is installed.
Product labels	Specify how product labels should be generated for brick-and-mortar stores. Select from the following options: All retail stores – Generate labels for all retail stores that are associated with a product label report. Local store only – Generate labels only for the local store that is specified in the Local store number field on the General tab. None – Prevent labels from being generated automatically when product prices are updated.
Shelf labels	Specify how shelf labels should be generated for brick-and-mortar stores. Select from the following options: All retail stores – Generate labels for all retail stores that are associated with a shelf label report. Local store only – Generate labels only for the local store that is specified in the Local store number field on the General tab. None – Prevent labels from being generated automatically when product prices are updated.
Reference	The name of the number sequence.
Number sequence code	Select the code for a number sequence.
Reuse numbers	Select this check box to reuse numbers that are no longer used.
Use same number as	The name of another number sequence that uses the same numbers.
Bar code setup	Select the default setup for bar codes.
EFT password encryption name	Enter the cryptographic algorithm to encrypt logon credentials for Payment Services. AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is the default cryptographic algorithm. For information about other cryptographic algorithms, see the topic CryptoConfig Class on MSDN. For information about how to change the default algorithm, see Use FIPS-compliant encryption algorithms for Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail. EFT stands for electronic funds transfer.
TS password encryption name	Enter the cryptographic algorithm to authenticate Commerce Data Exchange: Real-time Service at retail stores. AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is the default cryptographic algorithm. For information about other cryptographic algorithms, see the topic CryptoConfig Class on MSDN. For information about how to change the default algorithm, see Use FIPS-compliant encryption algorithms for Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail. TS stands for Retail Transaction Service. In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Retail Transaction Service is called Commerce Data Exchange: Real-time Service.
Staff password hash name	Enter the cryptographic algorithm that Retail POS uses to hash passwords in logon credentials at point-of-sale registers. SHA512 (Secure Hash Algorithm) is the default cryptographic algorithm. For information about other cryptographic algorithms, see the topic CryptoConfig Class on MSDN. URL	Enter the URL for the root directory that contains the media files to use in online stores.
Application ID	Enter the application ID from your Facebook application. This is used to publish discounts to Facebook.
Consumer key	Enter the consumer key from your Twitter account. This is used to publish discounts to Twitter.
Consumer secret	Enter the consumer secret from your Twitter account. This is used to publish discounts to Twitter.
Maximum number of rows for editing attributes in Excel	Enter the maximum number of rows in Excel that you can use to edit product attributes when you create catalogs for online stores.
