The world needs dyslexic thinking. That is why Made By Dyslexia and Microsoft have made it their mission to help every teacher to spot, support and empower every learner with dyslexia. Our first training, Dyslexia Awareness, provides teachers and parents the essentials to understand and value dyslexic thinking. Take it in two parts: Dyslexia Awareness: Part 1 and Dyslexia Awareness: Part 2. Now, our next training, Dyslexia Teaching, deepens your understanding of dyslexia.

Working with The Schenck School in Atlanta, USA, one of the world’s leading dyslexic specialist schools, we developed training to help children with dyslexia worldwide to thrive. You'll hear from teachers at Morningside Elementary School, Thomasville Heights, and Broadclyst Community Primary School, who have taken the training and transformed their teaching, too.

This training is made up of three parts.

Part 1 is all about:

  • Strengths – Deepen your knowledge of dyslexic strengths.
  • Classroom instructions – How to give instructions that help learners with dyslexia.
  • Spotting dyslexia – How to identify the signs of dyslexia in the classroom.
  • Spelling – How to help with the trickiest of tasks.

The videos are full of helpful, easy to implement ideas, showing what to teach, why it helps, and how to do it.

Take this training and transform your teaching. Or learn new ways to support your child at home.

When you've finished this module, be sure to complete Dyslexia Teaching Parts 2 and 3 next.
