Summary
In this module, we explored the 21CLD real-world problem solving and innovation dimension and discussed:
- Why problem solving is important
- The key features of real-world problem solving and innovation
- The skills required to solve real-world problems effectively
We also examined the real-world problem solving and innovation rubric and decision tree and defined the key terms associated with the varying degrees of problem solving. To gain familiarity with the rubric, we used the rubric or decision tree to code anchor lessons and covered Microsoft tools that support problem solving and innovation in learners. Finally, we used the rubric to redesign learning activities to deepen problem-solving and innovation skills among learners.
