Delegate a request for approval
To prevent documents from accumulating or blocking the workflow, the requester, approver, and approval administrator can delegate an approval request to another approver. The approver can be a designated substitute, the direct approver, or the approval administrator, in that order of priority. Typically, you would use this feature if an approver is out of office and unable to approve requests before the due date.
When you want to delegate an approval request as the approval requester or as the approval administrator, follow these steps:
Select the search for page icon in the upper-right corner of the page, enter approval request entries, and then select the related link.
Select one or more lines for the approval requests that you want to delegate to another approver and then select the Delegate action.
A notification to approve the request will be sent to the other approver.
