How to download files in an excel office add in on mac?

Hello,

how can I download files within excel as part of an excel office add in under MacOS?

I tried multiple ways with and without libraries, but the file will not be downloaded if I trigger the download in Excel. If I try the same script in the Chrome browser on my mac, it works.

I'm working on a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro, with Microsoft® Excel for Mac Version 16.94 (25020927).
