- Purchase a new Surface Hub 3.

What is the default admin password on Surface Hub running Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows?
- The default admin password is factory set to sfb. It's strongly recommended to change the password, as described in Security best practices for Surface Hubs running Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows.
How long will Surface Hub 2S be supported on the current OS?
- The current OS for Surface Hub based on Windows 10 version 22H2 will continue to be supported for another two years, with mainstream support ending on October 14, 2025, as previously published.
What type of updates to Windows 10 Team OS will continue until mainstream support ends?
- At a minimum, consistent with previously announced support for Windows 10, Surface Hubs will continue to receive security updates. We'll no longer add new features to the Windows 10 Team OS.
What happens after mainstream support ends on October 14, 2025?
- Surface Hub devices running Windows 10 Team will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft after October 14, 2025.
How does the performance of Surface Hub 3 compare with Surface Hub 2S?
- Customers will benefit from a 60% CPU performance increase and a 160% GPU performance increase over Surface Hub 2S.
Will I be able to rotate Surface Hub on the new experience?
- Smart Rotation is only possible on 50-inch Surface Hub 3 hardware (new Surface Hub 3 devices, or Surface Hub 2S devices upgraded with a Surface Hub 3 Compute Cartridge).
Will I be able to rotate Surface Hub 3 85"?
- No. Due to form factor constraints and expected use cases, rotation to Portrait is only supported on 50" devices.
What other features are only available on Surface Hub 3 hardware?
- Intelligent Audio: The Surface Hub 3 50” features two microphone arrays and speaker pairings. Smart AV optimizes audio based on device orientation, delivering the best stereo experience whether in Portrait or Landscape.
- Faster Performance: As stated earlier, with a 60% CPU performance increase and a 160% GPU graphics performance increase gen-on-gen, Surface Hub 3 customers benefit from a more powerful system that is also primed to capitalize on future software innovation.
