Can't Open Word!

Folks, I can't open word, but I can open excel. With word, after I click to open it, I see it in the taskbar (see s shot), but it won't open the screen view. I tried updating thru excel but it says up to date. I did the online repair. Restarting doesn't help. It was working yesterday! What else can I try?? Excel shows version Pro Plus 2021 and I have win 11 1 word

    OK I tried opening a file in safe mode and that worked! I hope someone can help!

    Hi,

    If you can open the Word document in safe mode, if it works fine in safe mode, please check the add-ins in your Word and disable them.

    Click File > Options > Add-Ins on the left side of the dialog. Then click the drop-down arrow at the bottom of the dialog box and select "COM Add-Ins" from the list, then click the GO button. What comes up is a list of COM-Add Ins that are loaded and running.
