I need to block user from connecting an ethernet cable from the wall port, to there laptops. I can restrict there individual MAC’s, but its immposible to do this when we recieve new users all the time. Is there a way to only allow MAC address of computers that are allowed on the network who are authorized to access the network like Domain joined machine etc.

You can accomplish this by using NPS - not DHCP. More at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/networking/technologies/nps/nps-top

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

For Windows DHCP Server, please kindly navigate to DHCP management console -> expand the IPV4 node and right click-> Allow -> New Filter.

By creating new filters you would be able to restrict specific MAC address from getting an IP assignment.

    Best regards,
