Windows 11 Pro, current build

Gigabyte Z790

Intel i7-13700k

Microsoft high definition audio driver; 10.0.22621.2506

Sound was working OK, now show "no audio" troubleshooter comes back with no driver.

I check current updates and no hardware driver updates. A few recent Realtek updates but weeks before loss of audio.

I un-installed driver, rebooted and still same issue.

I unplugged speaker cable and reinserted, got speaker squawk sound at plugin.

What is happening & how do I fix it.

    SFC /Scannow went OK

    Multiple DISM fails with:

    :\Windows\System32>DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:G:\Sources\install.wim

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool

    Version: 10.0.22621.2792

I have the correct win11 23H2 ISO and my OS is at 23H2. I do not know how to examine the log file to see what it is looking for.

    dism.log is the run result.

    Any help appreciated.

SFC /scannow worked. DISM failed on "cannot find source". I mounted win11 23H2 ISO (OS is 23H2) and reran DISM with Source option. Still failed. Attached is the log file. I do not know how to read it. Any help appreciated.
