    Dear @Akash Joshi

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I need a few more details to accurately identify the cause and provide troubleshooting steps:

This is a new installation, or has Office been working fine and only recently shown the "Unlicensed" error?

Please send me a full screenshot of the Error 772 message you are currently seeing.

I noticed your device/account may be tagged with a "edu" identifier. Are you using a licensing account provided by a school or educational institution?

Please open any Office application (such as Word or Excel), go to File > Account (or Office Account), and provide a screenshot of the Product Information section.

In my research on this error, I found a shared observation that Error 772 often appears when Office is installed on a Windows Insider/Preview (testing) build. If you are currently using an Insider build, please consider switching to a stable version of Windows and attempt activation again. Error Code: 772 / Office Activation - Microsoft Q&A

Kindly provide me with the answers and information requested above. Based on that, I can quickly pinpoint the cause and guide you through the next steps.

    Looking forward to your reply!

Is this a new installation? Or is it an old one which has suddenly become unlicensed?

Which version of Office do you have? Which status is shown in your account at https://account.microsoft.com/services ?
