How to fix Authentication or Initialization failed on Outlook email

my @tmmanagementservices.com.au or @tmmanagementservices.onmicrosoft.com address isn't loading the emails in Outlook.

I keep getting the following error message

Authentication or initialization failed. Click Reload to try again.

When I click Reload it still shows the message above.

How can I get my emails to load?

This only stopped when I purchased a new computer. All my other email accounts have loaded without any issues.

Your assistance with this would be greatly appreciated as currently I am having to sign in through Microsoft 365 and it is taking for ever to draft emails this way.

    Thank you for your patience and for sharing the details of your experience. I understand how disruptive it can be when email access is affected, especially when you rely on Outlook for daily communication. 

    I’ve confirmed that your issue with the New Outlook for Windows is related to an active Microsoft service incident: 

    • Incident ID: EX1181275 
    • Impact: Users are unable to load email messages when opening conversations in Outlook on the web and the New Outlook for Windows client. 
    • Root Cause: A recent service update changed the order of component loading during startup, which caused failures in message loading. 
    • Status: Active – Microsoft engineering has identified the issue and initiated a fix. Monitoring is ongoing. 
    • Next Update: Scheduled for October 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM UTCundefined

    While Microsoft works on resolving this, you can try some local troubleshooting steps as listed below. 

    1. Sign out and remove cached accounts  
    2. Clear Windows Credential Manager entries  
    3. Repair or reinstall WebView2 Runtime  
    4. Restart and re-add the account
