I understand that you have confusion when changing your payment method. That's very understandable and believe me you're not alone. I am here to help you out.
- Sign in to your Microsoft account
- Locate your subscription
- Under Services & subscriptions, find Microsoft 365.
- Manage payment options
- Click Manage next to your subscription.
- Select Change how you pay.
- Choose a new payment method
- You can:
- Add a credit/debit card.
- Add a PayPal account.
- Use a bank account (where available).
- Click Add a new payment method and follow the prompts.
- Set as default
- After adding, select Set as default for your subscription.
- Confirm changes
- Review and confirm the update. You’ll see the new payment method listed.
If you cannot update online, you can contact Microsoft Support::
- Visit this site: Contact – Microsoft Support
- Type Contact in the search box.
- Now, click on Get Help and select Contact Support or enter below to contact support.
- Go to the Products & Services tab and Choose Billing & subscriptions → Microsoft 365 for home → Payment & billing.
- Go to Confirm.
- You can now choose the Chat with a support agent option in your web browser.

Please note that the chat support team only works during certain working hours. Therefore, if the last window indicates that you are unavailable, try opening it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. That way, they can call you and help you.
