Use the following steps to clear and re-add the problematic Bluetooth keyboard.

    1. Try removing and re-adding the keyboard from Settings
      1. Select Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
      2. Under Mouse, keyboard, & pen, select the Bluetooth keyboard.
      3. Select Remove device and confirm.
      4. Select Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth, then choose the keyboard when it appears and complete pairing.
    2. Power-cycle and re-pair the keyboard
      1. Make sure the keyboard has sufficient battery or is fully charged.
      2. Turn the keyboard off and back on, then put it into pairing mode (usually by holding the pairing button for 5–7 seconds until the light blinks).
      3. Try the remove/add steps again.
    3. Restart Bluetooth and Windows
      1. Go to Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
      2. Turn Bluetooth off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
      3. If the keyboard still cannot be removed, restart the PC: Start > Power > Restart, then try removing it again.
    4. Clean up Bluetooth drivers in Device Manager (for stubborn “Remove failed” cases)
      1. Open Device Manager (select Search on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager).
      2. From the View menu, select Show hidden devices.
      3. Expand Bluetooth and look for any Bluetooth devices or adapters with a warning triangle, or old/duplicate Bluetooth entries.
      4. Right-click those problematic/old Bluetooth entries and select Uninstall device.
      5. Shut down the PC: Start > Power > Shut down.
      6. Turn the PC back on. Windows will attempt to reinstall required Bluetooth drivers automatically. If it does not, in Device Manager select Action > Scan for hardware changes.
      7. After drivers are reinstalled, go back to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, remove the keyboard entry if it still appears, then re-pair it.
    5. If prompted for a PIN when re-pairing
      1. Check the keyboard’s documentation or label for a PIN.
      2. If none is documented, try entering 0000 or 1234.
      3. If there is no visible PIN entry field on screen, type 0000 on the Bluetooth keyboard and press Enter.

These steps clear stale Bluetooth device/driver entries that can cause “Remove failed” and allow the keyboard to be paired cleanly again.
