The element that is transitioning states if the VisualStateGroup is in a ControlTemplate; otherwise, null
.
Remarks
When the VisualStateGroup is set on a FrameworkElement that is not in a ControlTemplate, the Control property is null
and you should use the StateGroupsRoot property.
