Promising sales order delivery
Order processors must deal with many scenarios when promising sales order deliveries. These include the following:
Has the customer requested or been promised a delivery date, and can this date be met?
Is there existing or expected inventory available to meet the order requirements? If this is the case, when?
If there's no existing inventory or expected inventory, can a new supply be manufactured, purchased, assembled, or transferred in time to meet the order requirement?
