Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am currently unable to complete the setup process for my Microsoft 365 Developer Program subscription due to an outdated phone number listed in my Developer Program Profile.

Although I have removed the old number from my Microsoft account security settings at https://account.microsoft.com/security, the outdated number still appears in the Developer Program setup and is required for SMS verification. Unfortunately, this number is no longer accessible and cannot receive verification codes.

I kindly request your assistance in updating or removing the phone number associated with my Microsoft 365 Developer Program Profile so I can proceed with setting up the developer sandbox environment.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

Hi @Anh Hào Ngô

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I understand you are currently blocked from completing your Microsoft 365 Developer Program setup. The core of the problem is that the setup requires SMS verification to an old, inaccessible phone number, even though you have correctly updated the contact information in your primary Microsoft account security settings.

This issue can occur when the Developer Program profile does not immediately sync with changes made to your main Microsoft account. Please reach out to update or remove the phone associated with your Microsoft 365 Developer Program profile Contact Us - Developer Support.

As a forum moderator, I can help guide discussions and share insights based on public documentation and community knowledge. We don’t have access to the detailed system needed to troubleshoot this effectively due to privacy and security constraints. We recommend contacting Microsoft’s support team directly, as they are best equipped to address and resolve this type of issue efficiently.

I hope this information can help you to solve your issue soon.
