Hello,

I am using 0365 office in my environment and updates are set to semi-annual channel from admin portal.

I have configured the GPO for users. I have tested the GPO on my test system, i can see the GPO is applied on the system but office application did not update.

I am trying to update office version from 2202 (Build 14931.20806) to 2202 (Build 14931.21076).

How i can see the download start downloading from CDN and start installation.

Please help!

Thank You.

Kind Regards

Pradeep

    Hello Pradeep,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft support. I understand that you are facing issues with updating your Office 365 application.

To update your Office 365 application, you can follow the below steps:

    1. Open any Office application, such as Word or Excel.
    2. Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner.
    3. Click on "Account" or "Office Account" (depending on your version of Office).
    4. Click on "Update Options" and then click on "Update Now".

If the update does not start automatically, you can try restarting your computer and then repeating the above steps.

Appreciate your understanding that sometimes the initial reply may not resolve the situation very soon. However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. Please kindly post back and provide the more information, then we can focus on your specific scenario and provide specific suggestions.

    1. If you have configured the GPO for users, it may take some time for the update to be applied to all systems. Hence, we'd like to know if other devices will have the same behavior.
    2. Check if a reinstallation will make any changes.

    Hi Pradeep,

There may have some cache which made the GPO policy didn't work on Office update setting. In this situation, you can try to reinstall Office with ODT where it can set the update channel manually.

    Hello Mia,

    Thanks for replying.

When I click manually update now then its got updated on latest version, which is I don’t want, I was hoping that it should update according to my GPO.

Adding one more thing, if I have applied GPO and automatic update is unable, I believe I should not click manually.

I have hide the notification for update but I can see my some of users are getting pop for update.

Could you please tell me when MS push to update, I meant here for time. How i can see office start getting update, is there any location where I can find updates download and installing from there.

    Please help!
