Microsoft Authenticator App Issue

I am an employer and just hired a new employee. We are having an issue with the Authenticator App, everytime that we try to scan the QR code it is saying, "Invalid code," so we have logged out and removed the app from the Apple Store and tried to redo everything, but it keeps saying the same thing. We have used a different computer and device, but it is still not allowing us to get pass her initial setup. Can someone please assist us?
