Sharepoint document library containing thousands of files just got deleted

Hello,

The document library just started getting deleted and files started going into recycle bin. Simultaneously the files also started showing in the local recycle bin of the Windows endpoints for all users - This is surprising how come the deletion shows at both sides and for all user. Had some user deleted it by mistake in their endpoint, it should show in their Windows recyle bin and in sharepoint online recycle bin , but not in other users endpoints.

No I need to restore the data back into its original location but the PnP.sharepoint and powershell commands just dont work. Have used AI tools to get the powershell commands but at a dead end.

If anyone has faced this challenge and can help in some way, I would appreciate.

Thank you in advance

    Hi Manish,

    I hope you're doing well.

I just wanted to follow up regarding the SharePoint document library issue you mentioned on June 9. Has there been any update from Microsoft Support? We're keen to learn if a resolution has been found or if there's anything we can assist with on our end.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
