Issue with teams usage report

We are seeing issues with numbers reports in teams usage report.

in one specific case we know that user was not on videos every day for atleast 2-3 hours out of 6-8 hours of actual usage so their on-video % should be approx 60-70%, however as per teams usage report it is 97%

How we calculate on video % -> video seconds/audio seconds

We have opened MS Ticket but as per support person they do not have any different data and cannot do anything. However this should be compliance issue if numbers reported are wrong.

    Hi @Dilkush Patel,

    Thank you for the response.

Since the usage report number is different from your own calculations, and our support agent cannot find anything wrong in the report, I would recommend submitting your feedback via the Microsoft Feedback Portal or directly through any Microsoft 365 app by going to Help > Feedback or File > Feedback. While our community team can’t directly implement feature changes, your feedback is invaluable and here’s how you can ensure it reaches the right team:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Feedback Portal:

    1. Upvote & collaborate:
    • Check existing suggestions and upvote similar ones. The more votes an idea gets, the higher its priority!

    Why Your Voice Matters:

    • The product team reviews all feedback submitted here directly.
    • Popular ideas appear on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap if approved.
    • Your suggestion could help millions of users in the future!

Please note that we are forum moderators, we don’t have access to the product to fix the issue for you.

    Hi @Dilkush Patel,

Good day to you! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

Based on your description, I would recommend exporting a Teams user activity report, which includes user's audio and video duration to see if the issue persists. Below is steps to view Teams report:

    1. In the admin center, go to Reports > Usage
    2. Select View more from the at-a-glance activity card for a service to see the report detail page. On that page, select Microsoft Teams on the left
    3. You can view the user activity in the Teams report by choosing the User activity tab.  image
    4. Select Choose columns to add or remove columns from the report.  image

You can also export the report data into an Excel .csv file by selecting the Export link.

If this still doesn’t work, we sincerely apologize that the current feature can't meet your requirement now. We're really sorry about any inconveniences that this issue may have caused to your work and we can’t resolve this immediately for you.

In the other hand, we’re cheering for your idea to become a reality. We recommend you submitting your feedback via the Microsoft Feedback Portal or directly through any Microsoft 365 app by going to Help > Feedback or File > Feedback.
