Perfomance issues in Loop

HI,
I have a user reporting performance issues with Loop.

Loop pages tend to be very slow and laggy, taking multiple seconds to react to any command (even just scrolling) and doing weird things like randomly jumping to the top of the page or to the beginning of the line while adapting text, sometimes even “typing backwards”.

Is there any fixes we can apply to resolve this?

Thanks
Paul

Disable Text Predictions from the editor settings. For me, this made the cursor jumping / backward typing problem go away.CleanShot 2025-10-14 at 07.49.45@2x

    Hi @Paul Murray

    Welcome to Q&A Community!

Thanks for flagging the performance issues in Microsoft Loop.

To help me troubleshoot your issue quickly, please clarify some key questions:

    • Which browser and version is he/she using (e.g., Edge/Chrome + exact version)? What’s your user's OS (Windows/macOS)?
    • Does the issue persist in InPrivate/Guest mode?
    • Does the issue occur on all Loop pages or just specific ones? If the issue is page-specific, please try breaking up large content or reducing embedded items.
    • Is it limited to embedded components in Teams/Outlook, or does it also happen in the full Loop web app (https://loop.microsoft.com)?
    • Are you using a VPN or proxy? If so, does the issue go away when disconnected?
    • Has he/she recently made any changes to Loop or OS?

In the meantime, try temporarily disabling extensions. You can start with grammar/spell checkers, ad blockers, and password managers, then re-enable them in small batches.

In Edge, navigate to Settings > System and performance > Use hardware acceleration. Try turning it off (or on, if already off), then restart the browser.

If this feature is not available, it could be due to your Edge version or it is managed by business policy.

Kindly let me know your answers to the questions above then I can provide you with further supporting steps. I look forward to your response.
