If you're receiving the two-number code but don't see where to enter it, there are a few steps you can try:

    1. Check the Sign-in Page: Make sure you are on the correct sign-in page for your account. Sometimes, the entry field for the code may not be visible if the page hasn't loaded properly.
    2. Use Other Verification Options: If you have set up other options for security verification, select Other verification options on the sign-in page to see if you can enter the code through a different method.
    3. Refresh the Page: Sometimes refreshing the page can help in displaying the input field for the verification code.
    4. Try a Different Browser or Device: If possible, try signing in using a different web browser or device to see if the issue persists.
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact support for further assistance.

For more detailed troubleshooting, you can refer to the end-user troubleshooting guide provided by Microsoft.

    Hi @Catherine Chapman,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I’d like to provide you with the following information:

I noticed that you are tagging education, so I will provide information based on an education account type. If you are using a different account type, please let me know so I can provide the most appropriate details.

Currently, I understand that you are signing in to your Microsoft account and being asked to enter a two-digit code for verification. You can enter this code in the Microsoft Authenticator app installed on your phone.

Since you are using an education account, this account is managed by your school administrator (possibly the school’s IT department).

If you do not see the prompt to enter these two codes in the app, please contact your school’s IT department to request support for resetting MFA on your account.

On your next sign-in, the account will require you to set up MFA again to resolve the issue.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to your response.
