Hey everyone,

I have gotten this window on my laptop at work, and I would really appreciate it if someone here could please write me an explanation of what it means. The window is in German so you might have to translate it. Please note the email written (hidden in black)

is not mine.

Thank you very much! Screenshot_20260112_153353_com.android.gallery3d

    Hi @worod

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I noticed that your post is in the en-us channel and the description is in English, so I’ll continue in English to keep things consistent.

Based on my research, the dialog box you’re seeing is a security prompt from Microsoft Outlook. It usually appears when someone, or a script or application is trying to configure email account settings through an external website. The message is essentially a warning that your account has been redirected to a website for configuration, and you should only allow this if you recognize and trust the source.

You can find more details here: Suppress AutoDiscover redirect warning in Outlook - Outlook | Microsoft Learn

In most cases, if you’re certain that the server belongs to your organization, it’s safe to click “Allow” (Zulassen). However, if the dialog shows an email address that isn’t yours, don’t rush to click Allow (Zulassen). This situation can occur for several reasons, such as a shared calendar in Outlook that requires updated configuration, an old account from a former employee that Outlook still remembers, or possibly other scenarios that need verification.

At this point, I recommend contacting your company’s IT department as soon as possible. They have the authority to verify whether the AutoDiscover server is legitimate, ensure that DNS and SSL configurations are correct, and then implement a long-term solution to prevent this warning from appearing again.

I hope this information helps clarify the situation and gives you a clear next step to consider. If you have any updates or further questions, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment under this post so I can assist you further.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response!
