Hi Microsoft.

I have a MS365 Business Basic subscription. I have been able to receive meeting invitations, both regular meetings and Teams-meetings, up until last week. But for the last week or so, my clients have told me, that they get a message back, saying they canøt invite me for a meeting, when they try to.

I am able to send and receive emails.

I have tried to invite myself for a meeting from my hotmail-account, that does not work either.

I have tried to forward the meeting (established in hotmail) to my workmail, that does not work either.

To my knowledge, I have not changed any settings anywhere, and I'm wuite sure that I haven't seen any MS updates, causing the problem to occur.

So I'm a bit lost here. Can you help me?

Thanks in advance, have a great day.

Best regards,

Thomas

    Hi @Thomas Lendrell

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand that you are unable to receive meeting invitations from external users. To better understand your scenario and provide accurate guidance, I would like to ask a few questions to help narrow down the issue.

    • May I ask are you an end user or an admin in your organization ?
    • What message or error do the meeting organizers receive when they try to invite you?  (If possible, a screenshot or the exact wording would be very helpful.)
    • Does this issue affect other users in your organization, or is it happening only to your account?
    • Have you checked your Junk Email folder to confirm the invitation was not filtered as spam?

If you are an end user, please ask your IT administrator to check the message trace in the Exchange Admin Center to confirm:

    • Whether the meeting invitation reached your mailbox
    • Whether it was redirected, filtered, or blocked
    • Whether any mail flow (transport) rules are affecting the delivery

You could refer to this article :Mail flow rules (transport rules) in Exchange Online | Microsoft Learn

Thank you again for your time and understanding. While my initial response may not resolve the issue immediately, I’d like to gather more details about your situation so I can assist you more effectively.

I really appreciate your patience, and I’m here to help. Looking forward to your response.

Wishing you and your family a prosperous New Year.
