    Welcome ramim husain,

I understand how frustrating it can be when on your Windows 11 device the sound icon appears active, but there is no audio output from either the speakers or headphones even after restarting and updating drivers.

So, I can help you faster, could you please confirm the following information:

    •  Does this happen with both built‑in speakers and external devices such as wired or Bluetooth headphones?
    • Did the issue start after a recent Windows update or system change?

In the meantime, you can try the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

Option 1: Check the selected audio output device

    • Click the speaker icon on the taskbar
    • Select the arrow next to the volume slider
    • Make sure the correct output device (for example, Speakers or Headphones) is selected

Option 2: Run the built‑in audio troubleshooter

    • Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot
    • Select Other troubleshooters and run the Audio troubleshooter

Option 3: Restart Windows audio services

    • Press Windows + R > type services.msc > press Enter
    • Locate Windows Audio
    • Right‑click it and select Restart
    • Repeat the same for Windows Audio Endpoint Builder

    Option 4: Disable audio enhancements

    • Open Settings > System, then Sound
    • Select your output device
    • Turn off Audio enhancements if the option is available

Option 5: Reinstall the audio driver

    • Open Device Manager from the Start menu
    • Expand Sound, video and game controllers
    • Right‑click your audio device and choose Uninstall device
    • Restart the PC and allow Windows to reinstall the driver automatically

I really hope that the information I gave above was helpful to you. Please feel free to reply below and let me know if you have further concern on this matter.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

Are you trying to play audio primarily via internal speakers, external speakers, or headphones?

If it is an external speaker or headphones, does it have a standard audio connector (Jack connector) or USB connector, or is it connected via Bluetooth?

Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    I await your reply.
