Hi,

I previously had the option to generate my flow using Copilot in Power Automate, but the Copilot feature has suddenly disappeared. I’ve tried troubleshooting on my own without success.

Could someone please help me figure out how to restore the Copilot option in Power Automate on the web?

Thanks!

Thanks,

Naman

    Hello @Namandeep Singh,

Based on what you described, it appears that Copilot in Power Automate is currently missing from your emailed platform environment. Copilot in Power Automate is only available in certain regions.  Please ensure that the Power Platform environment you are using is located in one of the supported regions listed in the following Microsoft article: Regions overview for Power Automate - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn

    • Preview region
    • Regions with copilot GPUs (United States, Australia, United Kingdom, India)
    • Europe and all other regions, including France and Canada

An admin of the environment or IT admin can confirm the region of your emailed platform environment by:

    1. Signing in to the Power Platform admin center
    2. Click on Manage and choose the Environments tab.
    3. Open your environment and confirm if the environment region is in the list above or not.

If your environment’s region is supported but the Copilot option is still not available, we recommend checking with your Global administrator to confirm whether the Copilot feature has been disabled at the tenant level. Additional details can be found in the following reference: Copilot in cloud flows FAQ - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn

For this situation, please help me to check with your colleagues if they are experiencing the same issue with you.  Please also note that an eligible license is required to use Copilot in Power Automate. This includes a standalone Power Automate license, a seeded Microsoft 365 license, or a Power Apps / Dynamics 365 license. To make sure which license is assigned to you, please access to Power Automate page, then click on the setting gear icon on the top right, you will have an option named "View My Licenses"

If you have verified the above and the issue still persists, please let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

To restore the Copilot option in Power Automate on the web, verify the following areas step by step.

    1. Confirm Copilot is available for the environment
      • Copilot in cloud flows is only available in specific regions. Ask the Microsoft Power Platform admin to confirm that the environment is in a supported region using the table in Region availability for Power Automate cloud flows with Copilot.
      • If the environment is not in a supported region, the admin can optionally enable Copilot by consenting to data movement in the Power Platform admin center. More information: Enable copilots and generative AI features.
    2. Check tenant and environment Copilot settings
      • Copilot can be disabled at tenant or environment level:
        • The admin may have requested Microsoft Support to disable Copilot for the tenant.
        • The admin may have turned off Allow data movement for generative AI features in the Power Platform admin center.
      • Ask the admin to:
        1. Open Power Platform admin center.
        2. Review the generative AI / Copilot settings for the environment.
        3. Ensure Copilot is enabled and data movement is allowed where required.
    3. Verify license and account type
      • To use Copilot in Power Automate cloud flows, an account must have one of the supported licenses (standalone Power Automate, seeded Microsoft 365, or Power Apps/Dynamics license). MSA-only accounts (for example, consumer Microsoft accounts without an org ID) cannot use Copilot.
      • Ensure sign-in is with a work or school account that has one of these licenses.
    4. Check if Copilot is disabled specifically for Power Automate for desktop (if applicable)
      • If using Power Automate for desktop and Copilot features (such as “Generate flow description using Copilot” or “Repair with Copilot”) are missing:
        • Confirm the environment is in a supported region for desktop Copilot capabilities.
        • Confirm sign-in with a work or school account.
        • Ask the Power Platform admin whether they have disabled specific Copilot features (for example, generate flow description or Repair with Copilot) or Copilot feedback via tenant settings.
    5. Use the new cloud flow designer
      • Copilot for authoring and editing cloud flows is only available in the new designer, not the classic designer.
      • When editing or creating a flow:
        1. Open the flow in Power Automate.
        2. Ensure the New designer toggle is turned on in the cloud flows designer.
        3. When the new designer is active, the Copilot pane should appear on the right side for supported flows.
    6. If Copilot still does not appear
      • If the region, license, and tenant settings are correct and the new designer is enabled but Copilot is still missing, the admin should:
        • Re-check region availability and data-movement settings.
        • Confirm Copilot has not been disabled via Microsoft Support.
        • Open a support ticket from the Power Platform admin center using Get Help + Support so Microsoft can review tenant-level Copilot configuration.

Once Copilot is available and the new designer is enabled, flows can again be created and edited using Copilot from the designer, and troubleshooting Copilot features can be used where available.
