    HI mike fisher,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

Please refer to and try the steps suggested by Q&A Assist above first (especially if the goal is to view Yahoo/Gmail inside the same Outlook.com mailbox—Outlook.com no longer supports syncing new third‑party “connected accounts” like Yahoo or Gmail the way it did previously).

Reference: Connected email accounts like Gmail and Yahoo not working in Outlook.com

Since the Yahoo account can be accessed normally on the phone and switching between accounts works there, the Yahoo account itself is likely fine.

If signing in to Yahoo on a PC redirects straight to Gmail, this is commonly related to the browser’s saved sign‑in session/cookies. Try the following: open an InPrivate/Incognito window and go directly to mail.yahoo.com; if it still redirects, clear cookies/site data for yahoo.com / mail.yahoo.com / login.yahoo.com and try again.

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.

On a PC, Outlook.com can no longer connect and sync third‑party accounts like Yahoo or Gmail inside the same Outlook.com mailbox. Each account must be accessed separately, or via an Outlook app that supports multiple accounts.

To access Yahoo and Gmail separately while still using Outlook, use one of these supported options:

    1. Use Outlook mobile (Android/iOS)
      • Install Outlook for iOS or Outlook for Android.
      • Add the Yahoo account and the Gmail account directly in the app.
      • Then switch between them in the app as done on the phone now.
    2. Use Outlook desktop (Windows or Mac)
      • Install new or classic Outlook for Windows, or Outlook for Mac.
      • Add the Yahoo account as one account and the Gmail account as another.
      • Switch between them in the folder pane.
    3. Use forwarding if wanting everything in one Outlook.com inbox
      • Set up automatic forwarding from Yahoo and/or Gmail into a single Outlook.com address.
      • Then sign in only to that Outlook.com address in the browser.

Because Outlook.com no longer supports adding or syncing new third‑party “connected accounts,” signing into Outlook.com in a browser with one Microsoft account will not give direct access to Yahoo or Gmail the way the mobile app does. Use one of the supported Outlook apps or forwarding instead.
