I have a personal live.com account. Every time I try to log into with correct password and each time provide an Issue as "You've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect account or password."
I have clear all Browser browser's cache and cookies already, also reboot the computer and try again to log in Live.com and act the same. Still request send Code to my other Email address.
Could you kindly suggest what to do or clear to solve the issues!!!
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you guys..........
Thkssssssssssssssssssssss....

    Hello guy sam

I understand how frustrating this is.

Based on what you described, getting the message “You’ve tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect account or password” even with the correct password, this usually means your Microsoft account is temporarily locked by automated security protection, not that your password is wrong. Microsoft automatically locks accounts after multiple failed sign-in attempts to protect against unauthorized access.

I'd suggest waiting for at least 24-48 hours without trying to sign in your account during this period since continued attempts can extend the temporary lock. After the waiting time, please clear your browser cache or try signing in from a different device or network.

If the issue persists beyond 48 hours, submit the Account Recovery Form with maximum details:

    • Go to: https://account.live.com/acsr
    • Enter your locked email and an alternate email where Microsoft can contact you.
    • Provide as many accurate details as possible, such as old passwords, frequent contacts/subject lines and submit from a familiar device/location.
    • Wait 24–72 hours for a response. You may refine and resubmit up to twice per day.
    • Please see this official guide to help you fill out the form more accurately: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form - Microsoft Support

Please kindly note that this is a public user-to-user forum, I do not have the ability, tools to unblock, recover accounts or bypass security. Only Microsoft’s official recovery process can restore access.

For reference, you can see: "You have tried too many times with an incorrect password" error when signing in to your Microsoft account

I hope you find this information helpful. Thank you for your time and understanding.

The account is likely temporarily locked by Microsoft’s automated protection after multiple failed sign-in attempts, even if the password is now correct. Use the official recovery and wait-out process rather than continuing to retry.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Stop trying to sign in for a while
      • Do not keep attempting to sign in, as repeated attempts can extend the lockout.
      • Wait at least 24 hours before trying again, and avoid any sign-in attempts during that period.
    2. Use the security code option when prompted
      • When asked to send a code to the alternate email, choose that option and complete the verification.
      • Enter the full alternate email address correctly and use the code as soon as it arrives.
    3. If the password may be blocked or not accepted
      • Use the Recover your account flow to reset the password:
        • Go to Recover your account at https://account.live.com/password/reset (linked from the article) or select the recovery option from the sign-in page.
        • Enter the live.com email address and follow the prompts to receive and enter a security code.
        • Set a new password when prompted.
      • Detailed steps are in My username and password have stopped working.
    4. If the username or account is not recognized
      • If messages like “We couldn’t find an account with that username” appear, follow the guidance in My username and password have stopped working and, if still blocked, use the Contact support option from that article.
    5. If still locked or blocked after waiting
      • If after 24+ hours the same error persists and recovery still fails, the account may be blocked due to suspicious activity.
      • Use the Sign-in Helper tool from I can't sign in to my Microsoft account. It checks the account and guides through the correct recovery or unblock path.
    6. If verification codes are not arriving
      • Follow the guidance in Troubleshoot Microsoft verification code issues and, if still stuck, use the Sign-in helper link in that article and/or Contact Support for technical help with code delivery (support cannot reset passwords or bypass security).

These are the only supported ways to clear the lock and regain access; continuing to guess or retry sign-ins will only prolong the issue.
