Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook.com
Hello guy sam
I understand how frustrating this is.
Based on what you described, getting the message “You’ve tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect account or password” even with the correct password, this usually means your Microsoft account is temporarily locked by automated security protection, not that your password is wrong. Microsoft automatically locks accounts after multiple failed sign-in attempts to protect against unauthorized access.
I'd suggest waiting for at least 24-48 hours without trying to sign in your account during this period since continued attempts can extend the temporary lock. After the waiting time, please clear your browser cache or try signing in from a different device or network.
If the issue persists beyond 48 hours, submit the Account Recovery Form with maximum details:
- Go to: https://account.live.com/acsr
- Enter your locked email and an alternate email where Microsoft can contact you.
- Provide as many accurate details as possible, such as old passwords, frequent contacts/subject lines and submit from a familiar device/location.
- Wait 24–72 hours for a response. You may refine and resubmit up to twice per day.
- Please see this official guide to help you fill out the form more accurately: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form - Microsoft Support
Please kindly note that this is a public user-to-user forum, I do not have the ability, tools to unblock, recover accounts or bypass security. Only Microsoft’s official recovery process can restore access.
For reference, you can see: "You have tried too many times with an incorrect password" error when signing in to your Microsoft account
I hope you find this information helpful. Thank you for your time and understanding.
