The AI-generated reply is correct. You can always install a subscription version on more than one device. There is a limit to the number of simultaneous activations, though.

If you are the person who are supposed to use the second PC, just sign in to your account at https://account.microsoft.com/services and choose the Install option.

If you have Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Premium, you can invite a family member to share the subscription with you. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-your-microsoft-365-family-or-premium-subscription-b389b9ce-3ae3-4a82-9017-39d79972fcba . The invited person can then install on their devices; see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/someone-invited-you-to-share-their-microsoft-365-subscription-6a6c098e-1934-4436-9a94-69c92590da5b.

To install Microsoft 365 on a second computer in the household when the subscription allows multiple installs, use the same subscription account that was used on the first computer.

    1. On the second computer, go to https://www.office.com.
    2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account that has the active Microsoft 365 subscription.
    3. After signing in, select Apps on the left (if shown).
    4. In the upper-right corner, select Install apps (or Install for Microsoft 365).
    5. This downloads the installer file. When the download finishes, open the file and follow the on-screen steps to complete installation.
    6. When an Office app (like Word or Excel) starts for the first time, sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate it.

With Microsoft 365 Family or other eligible subscriptions, Microsoft 365 can be installed on all devices, but only five can be signed in at the same time. If more than five devices are used, one of the earlier devices will be signed out automatically; just sign back in on any device to keep using Office.

If the subscription is Microsoft 365 Family and installation is for another person in the household using their own account, first share the subscription with them, then they sign in with their own Microsoft account and install from their own https://www.office.com portal.
